Brandon Roy is Retiring

Bad knees forced Roy's early retirement

According to ESPN.com’s Chris Broussard, as early as today, Portland TrailBlazers guard, Brandon Roy will announce his retirement due to degenerative knees. Roy, 27, was the 6th overall pick in the 2006 draft out of the University of Washington. He played 7 seasons in the league but endured numerous knee surgeries on both of his knees in the past two seasons. Last year, he played in only 47 games for the Blazers. He retires a three-time All-star.
